What an INCREDIBLE rehearsal experience. Coming to AZ!!! #wingsforautism

What is Wings for Autism®?

Wings for Autism® is an airport “rehearsal” specially designed for individuals with autism spectrum disorders, their families and aviation professionals. Originated by the Charles River Center, a local chapter of The Arc, Wings for Autism® is designed to alleviate some of the stress that families who have a child with autism experience when traveling by air. The program provides families with the opportunity to practice entering the airport, obtain boarding passes, go through security and board a plane. Wings for Autism® also gives airport, airline, Transportation Security Administration professionals and other personnel the opportunity to observe, interact and deliver their services in a structured, learning environment. This experience is equally useful for families that have a member with other intellectual or developmental disabilities that are concerned about the ability of their family member to travel.

Hello! I am Kayla Rosenberger, a Behavioral Specialist for Arion Care Solutions, LLC.  I have two Bachelor's Degrees from Arizona State University; Elementary Education and Special Education: Cross Categorical Specialization. My Master’s Degree is in Curriculum and Instruction with a Specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University.
Prior to joining the Arion Care Solutions, LLC team, I was a self-contained Special Education teacher in a local school district for five years and I have worked in the field providing habilitation and respite for six years. I am thrilled to join the Arion Care team as each and every employee is visibly dedicated to making a difference for the individuals that we service.  My passion lies within the field of autism but I also have experience with developmental delays and emotional disturbance.  I have completed all necessary requirements including sitting for the BCBA exam and I am anxiously awaiting the results to continue pursuing my goal of becoming a Licensed Behavior Analyst here in Arizona!

Meet Sarah Duarte

Hello! My name is Sarah Duarte. I completed both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Arizona State University. I have two Bachelor's Degrees, Elementary Education and Special Education: Cross Categorical Specialization. My Master’s Degree is in Curriculum and Instruction with a Specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis. I am nationally qualified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst ®, BCBA ® as well as a Licensed Behavior Analyst in the state of Arizona. I seek to improve the field of ABA by participating in local organizations. I am currently a member and participate on the Ethics Committee for AZ-ABA.

I began working for Arion Care Solutions, LLC in 2007 as a Habilitation and Respite Provider. In 2009, I started working for a local school district as a Special Education Teacher serving children at Title 1 School Sites. I spent five years teaching in a self-contained setting designed for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. During my Special Education career, I mentored ASU teacher candidates; I thoroughly enjoy teaching adults as much as I love working with children.

I look forward to facilitating children and adults in making socially significant changes to increase quality of life for many years to come.
